ḤADĪTH OF THE DAY

“ The Messenger of God, peace and blessings of God be upon him, said, “After you finish eating, lick your fingers (1), for you do not know in which lies the blessing (2).” Footnotes: (1) the middle finger, the index finger and the thumb. (2) All food is a blessing; this hadīth encourages people not to waste any of it, not even what is on the fingers. . ”

Sunan at-Tirmithiy كتاب البر والصلة باب ما جاء فى الظلم

حَدَّثَنَا عَبَّاسٌ الْعَنْبَرِىُّ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ الطَّيَالِسِىُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِى سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ عَنِ النَّبِىِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ الظُّلْمُ ظُلُمَاتٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ. قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِى الْبَابِ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو وَعَائِشَةَ وَأَبِى مُوسَى وَأَبِى هُرَيْرَةَ وَجَابِرٍ. وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ حَدِيثِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ.
